| My Mother's Belated 50th Birthday Party
Ladies from church put together a surprise birthday party for my Mom. I had the stressful job of trying to get her surprised. At her own house. We got her good. Nate and I planned to show up after Dad had her out in the shop helping him and we got there a few minutes too early. I was putting the girls to bed for naps when I realized she was still in her bedroom. I was like, "Mom?" I asked her if it's ok if I put the girls to bed there while Nate washes the van and changes the oil in the shop. She wondered what I was doing... I had not figured this part out yet... so I asked her what she was doing? She was going out to the shop to help Dad and she had to pick up some dry cleaning in Lebanon by 2:00. She had no idea that it was so time for her to be picking up her dry cleaning and none of us knew that she was planning to do that. So she looked at the clock and freaked out, "It's one thirty? I need to be leaving now!" So I was like, "I can pick it up... Nate has to run to get oil for the van anyhow" I can't believe she didn't see through all of this. So She goes to the shop to help Dad and Nate she sees Nate and I leave for Lebanon only Nate dropped me off at the house first. Dad was soon running in to the house for her glasses and said, "What time are these ladies coming? I am having a hard time keeping her out there" She looked at Dad a little funny when he insisted he would go in for her glasses. I can't believe she even knew where to tell him to find them. So the guests were all in their place in the basement and we were hoping she'd come in soon. Nate came back from picking up the dry cleaning and told her there were some customers in the basement and Dad played right along, "Oh that's right that lady did call" Which was true there was a customer who had called and it was totally believable. Mom knew there was an order waiting in the basement for someone. So Mom makes her way to the basement opened the door and let out a scream the guys could hear from the shop. So fun to pull it off.
Had some great food. Orayma cooked her Spanish rice and Empanadas and Tostadas. So good. Notice the cooker full of rice? That was after everyone was served. Eva Jane made the cupcakes which tasted as good as they looked. And they were so pretty. We also had some live entertainment. Sue and Eva Jane put on a skit. Mia was awake and watching wide eyed when they pulled out a depends. Lots of laughes. |

| MeadvilleWednesday evening Sheri and I drove to Meadville PA. LONG drive, this is where Nate's older sister Carla lives with her husband Geryll, and sweet son Tristan who just turned one. Sonya was all ready up there and needed a ride home. Although it was a fast trip and I'm home again, it was great to see where they live and spend some sister in law time together. Um, I didn't get to see all of Meadville but we took a walk yesterday to a thrift store, and then the Aritst's Cup Cafe. I am so jealous of that Artist's Cup Cafe. Not only do they serve great coffee and food but they feature local artists work. Such a great place. Carla lives in walking distance to a lot of fun places. So glad to be home.

Nate's youngest sister Sonya. Ellie's favorite person.
It was colder outside than we realized, so Tristan is getting warmer clothing.

June Flowers
Last weekend we attended a wedding in IN. We stopped in Pittsburgh on the way out. Good times. All of these Pittsburgh/IN pictures are backwards in order. It's the same way that I read magazines, so I feel at home with it.

This week we have summer Bible school and we are assistant superintendant. Busy. |
